After touring pretty extensively from January to September of 2008, the boys of the Foo Fighters have earned their respite.  After over a decade of fairly consistent original music, the Foo Fighers lineup may have changed from time to time, but the core is still their. The core being creative frontman David Grohl, formerly of Nirvana. Grohl’s commitment and energy levels towards his music mirror that of a teenager who’s just received his first guitar, and Grohl plans to continue his excellence. The seventh edition of the Austin City limits festival, which is scheduled for September 26-28, will feature more than 125 performances at eight stages in Zilker Park in Austin City. The three-day event will see performances by Robert Plant, Foo Fighters, Allison Krauss David Byrne, Beck, John Fogerty, Manu Chao, Iron and Wine, Vampire Weekend etc.

Concert fans of Austin city will have a chance to see the performances of many native singers like Patty Griffin, Kevin Fowler, Robert Earl Keen and White Denim. In the past two years the concert was able to give back more than $ 1million to the park for its developments. The park authorities are happy to be associated with Austin festival, which is one of the premier concerts in the country, and is expecting to make a greater impact on the park with the contributions from concert as well as through the work of its volunteers.
