The sounds of London born Amy Winehouse may not be heard for the upcoming 2008 Grammy Awards. The singer and her husband have checked themselves into a rehab facility January 24th for some much needed help. Winehouse has been nominated for six Grammy awards to be held on February 10th. The decision to enter rehab came after much influence from friend, family, physicians, and those she works with. Amy and her husband have been seen under the influence of intoxicating substances on more than one occasion. One time in particular, the two were seen coming from their hotel covered in bruises and blood after a fight ensued between the two of them. They were rumored to be fighting in their room the night before while abusing drugs and entertaining a call girl. The Grammy Awards have become a major issue for those concerned for Winehouse’s health and detox. They feel she is best served by staying where she is and not attending the awards ceremony this year. There has been no confirmation as to a decision in the matter but family and friends closest to her say they will be supportive of whatever choice she makes.

lloh.jpgLindsay Lohan works for the Red Cross as part of her community service punishment. Lindsay was sentenced to community services as the result of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Instead of imprisonment, Lindsay was sentenced to at least 10 days of community services. Maybe the 21-year-old pop diva will finally come to reason.
