The five members of the famous band The Hold Steady are embarking on a summer tour to promote their soon to be launched album “Stay Positive”. The album is scheduled to be released by Brooklyn Records on July 15th and the band will be performing a few warm up concerts along the east coast in the month of June. The band’s proper tour kick-starts on July 15th at Cleveland and will be performing at Chicago, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Arizona, Charleston, Missouri, Texas etc, before winding at Norfolk on August 13th.  The Hold Steady fans are queuing up many of these concert centers in a bid to grab the tickets.

In conjunction with their freshly launched album titled “Anthems for the Damned”, renowned rock outfit Filter initiated new tour dates to boost album and concert ticket sales. This album is their first in six years. Filter has been relatively quiet before this but they are now back with a vengeance to insert new concert dates in the month of July. Filter consists of band leader Richard Patrick, guitarist Mitchell Marlow, bassist John Spiker as well as drummer Mika Fineo. They are evidently proud of their new album as it features vocals from stars such as Wes Borland who was former guitarist for Limp Bizkit and drummer Josh Freese who is with Nine Inch Nails.

The Madrid born heartthrob singer Enrique Iglesias is making a return this year to the Isle of MTV concert on June 25th. He mesmerized the crowd at Isle with his dashing performance last year. The UEFA Euro 2008 has selected his song “Can You Hear Me” as the official song for the event.  He will do a live performance for 10 minutes at the final of the tournament on June 29th as part of the closing ceremony at Ernst- Happel- Stadium in Vienna.  Enrique Iglesias is happy to perform at the Isle of MTV as it is a fabulous event. The official site of MTV says that all the people in the island will be celebrating the Malta Music Week.

 The Raconteurs, the famous indie- rock group, did their performance on May 17th at Irvine in California. They added some new tour dates to their current headline tour of U.S which includes second shows in many cities in North America. After their U.S tour, they will fly to Europe for a number of concerts and for taking part in summer festivals. Through the tour, they will support the new studio album “Consolers of the Lonely” released in late March. The current tour of the band will end on August 9th with the performance at the New American Music Union Festival in Pittsburgh.

The sound track of Your Summer tour starting from Chicago on July 8th will be co- headlined by Boys like Girls and Good Charlotte. Boys like Girls are going to give some more promotion to their self-titled debut album, which has already sold 532,000 copies. Good Charlotte is touring to support their album called “Good Morning Revival” which was released last year. The concert venues include Denver, Seattle, California, Los Angeles, Florida, Detroit and many other important cities. The concert lovers can watch them perform at the nearest venue. The tour is expected to end on August 21st at New Jersey.

The members of My Morning Jacket have planned a widespread North American tour to support their forthcoming fifth studio album “Evil Urges” that will commence in the month of August right after the group completes its European tour. The first stop in their North American tour will be Louisville on August 16th and will be covering cities like Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Kansas City, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Portland, Seattle, San Diego, Minneapolis, Detroit etc during the 2 month long trek that ends on October 10th at the Chicago Theater. The tickets to most of these concerts are currently on sale and fans will be flocking in large numbers to watch this band perform in their cities.

The much awaited “viva la vide” concert tour spanning across Europe, North America and Japan is all set to start at the famous Wachovia center in Philadelphia. This is good news for fans that have been waiting for long for the concert to begin.

 

 The tour will kick start on the 29th of June and will go into next year as well. Tickets to some of the concerts will be available from the middle of May, the probable dates are from May 16-17. Most of the tickets would however be available from June 14. It is reported that there will be around 50 concert dates in North America alone.

The legendary singer Elton John is going to perform all over the world in next few months. This month he will perform in Singapore, Austria, China, New Zealand, and Australia. In Alaska he will do a couple of shows in late May. He will be in Las Vegas for the “Red Piano” shows in June. In late July, Elton will be performing in Europe for two weeks and will give shows after that in New Jersey, Atlantic City and Essex Junction.

 

 

Elton will return to Sin City in July, August, October and November with his “Red Piano”. At the end of the year he will take his “Red Piano” to Europe for some flamboyant concerts. With his July 21st performance at Vermont he will cover all the states in US once after his first performance in US in 1970. This will be a remarkable achievement for him and Mercury/ Universal Records is going to re-release Elton’s albums which were released in 1970 and 1971.

World famous band Nine Inch Nails has wowed fans with their free giveaway of their latest album titled “The Slip”. Previously they held a concert that consisted of a four-album instrumental set and now they are hoping to continue their show of support by giving loyal fans a free download of “The Slip”, available exclusively on their official website. Their latest album features over 45 minutes of songs. Other than the usual MP3 format, the songs are also available in FLAC, M4A and WAVE formats. And that’s not all. Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has also encouraged fans to remix the songs however they desire and share it amongst friends and post them the Internet blogs. Fans can buy the full physical album in CD and vinyl come July 2008.

ABC, Belinda Carlisle, Naked Eyes and the Human League are all set to take its fans by storm as they have joined together to hit the road with the Regeneration Tour that kick starts on August 4 in Alpine, California at Viejas Concerts. Dead or Alive will join the Regeneration tour in the first half of the tour and the second half of the tour will feature A Flock Of Seagulls band. The Regeneration summer tour wraps off at the Chastain Park Amphitheater situated in Atlanta on August 29. 

 

The other places where fans can catch their favorite bands from the Regeneration Tour are Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles on August 5th, the Mountain Winery in California on August 11th, Pavilion of Bank of America in Boston on August 20th, Clarkston’s Energy Music Center in Michigan on August 24th and Wolftrap in Vienna on August 26. Tickets for the August 4th show is on sale right now and the other concert center tickets will soon be available for purchase.
