Celine Dion, the Quebec-born chanteuse, will give her Halifax performance on August 23, 2008, and this is going to be a fabulous event for the city. After having performed at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for 5 years, Celine finds special pleasure in performing in Halifax, especially that this brand new show falls between indoor concerts in Montreal and Toronto during a string of dates in Canada. Avid concertgoers and simply Dion’s fans should know that Halifax will be the only Atlantic Canadian stop on Dion’s tour. At the performance in Halifax, Dion will play metro as part of a world tour promoting her new English album Taking Chances.
By the way, on Monday, Celine received the Legend Award at the World Music Awards. The award honours under the title “a top recording artist in recognition of their global success and outstanding contribution to the music industry”, has ever been received by few, including Elton John and Ray Charles
